This site performs an algorithmic calculation based on the public rules of the Italian Fiscal Code. It is not part of the Agenzia delle Entrate or any public administration, and it cannot confirm the official assignment of a code.
License
The source code is distributed under the MIT license, a permissive open-source license that allows reusing, modifying and redistributing the project, including commercially, with attribution to the original authors.

Data about Italian municipalities comes in part from official ISTAT sources and, for the historical portion, from the open-source python-codicefiscale project (MIT licensed); provenance details are documented in the repository.
